The modernized Opel Mokka debuts with a refreshed look and new technology, making this crossover an even more attractive choice in the subcompact SUV segment. Four years after its initial release, the Mokka now offers more than just aesthetic updates; it focuses on interior comfort, advanced infotainment, and a wider range of powertrain options, including a new mild-hybrid version.

At first glance, the exterior changes may seem subtle, showcasing the Mokka’s enduring, up-to-date design. One of the most noticeable updates is a redesigned front bumper for improved aerodynamics, along with new LED lighting signatures inspired by Opel’s premium models like the Grandland. Chrome elements have been entirely removed, giving the Mokka a more modern and clean appearance.

Inside, Opel has prioritized comfort and tech enhancements. The cabin now features eco-friendly upholstery made from recycled materials and a new multifunction steering wheel. The dashboard centers on dual 10-inch displays, offering intuitive touch controls, while the improved infotainment system now supports customizable shortcuts for favorite features. The latest system version also supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with over-the-air updates.

A standout feature is the integration of ChatGPT AI into the navigation system, simplifying in-car communication and on-the-go search functions. The minimalist design extends to a reduced number of buttons, as Opel shifts toward a sleeker look, where many functions are now controlled via the touchscreen.

Opel now offers the Mokka with three powertrains. The base model features a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine delivering 100 kW (136 hp), paired with a six-speed manual transmission. A new feature is the 48V mild-hybrid system, which combines the same engine with a 21 kW electric motor, improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions. The total output is 96 kW (130 hp), always paired with an automatic transmission. The most powerful option remains the fully electric Mokka Electric, which boasts 115 kW (156 hp) and a range of up to 403 km (WLTP) thanks to a 54 kWh battery. Fast-charging up to 100 kW allows the battery to reach 80% in just 30 minutes.

Pricing details for the Europe market have yet to be announced, but with these appealing updates and modern technology, the revamped Mokka is set to become an even more enticing option among urban SUVs.
