Ferrari has just introduced its latest hypersport, the F80, a masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of innovation in performance, technology, and design. This model features a revolutionary combination of a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine paired with a hybrid system, producing an astonishing 1,200 horsepower. In doing so, the F80 carries on the legacy of the iconic LaFerrari, showcasing a technical marvel that points to the future of Ferrari’s supercars. The dazzling numbers continue with acceleration, going from 0 to 100 in 2.15 seconds and from 0 to 200 in 5.75 seconds.
At first glance, the F80 captivates not only with its power but also with a distinctive design inspired by legendary models like the Ferrari Daytona and F40. Its two-seater cabin with scissor doors offers a sporty, functional interior where the driver has everything within reach. The passenger seat is even set slightly back to give the driver optimal visibility and control over the entire car.
The heart of the F80 is a unique V6 engine with electrified turbochargers, delivering 900 horsepower on its own, making it Ferrari’s most powerful engine by power-to-displacement ratio. Combined with three electric motors—two at the front and one at the rear, which also functions as a starter and recuperation unit—the F80 can achieve up to 1,200 horsepower. This sophisticated system powers all four wheels, ensuring not only extreme performance but also exceptional stability and handling, even at high speeds.
Ferrari’s engineers drew inspiration not only from past iconic models but also from their motorsport experience. The result is a car with an ultra-low center of gravity, a durable carbon chassis, and aerodynamic downforce reaching up to 1,050 kg at 250 km/h. Every detail of the car is optimized for stability, even at top speeds, while the active suspension system provides comfort on challenging roads.
The F80 also offers multiple driving modes, allowing drivers to tailor the experience as needed. The “Hybrid” mode uses regenerative braking to optimize power, while the “Performance” mode maximizes system efficiency. For speed enthusiasts, the “Qualify” mode unleashes full power for an authentic driving thrill. For short distances, the car can even run purely on electric power.
Equipped with advanced CCM-R Plus carbon brakes developed with Brembo, the F80 can decelerate from 100 km/h to a full stop in just 28 meters. This new braking system is not only highly effective but, thanks to long carbon fibers and a silicon carbide coating, resists wear and provides excellent thermal conductivity. These brakes also heat up quickly, ensuring reliability even under extreme conditions.
Production of the Ferrari F80 is limited to just 799 units, with the first cars expected to reach customers by the end of 2025. Priced at €3.6 million , the F80 is an exclusive product for Ferrari’s most loyal customers who already own previous models. The Ferrari F80 is not merely another supercar; it’s a symbol of timeless engineering excellence, etched into history even before its official launch.
